Betula lenta
Birch essential oil comes from the bark of Betula lenta tree—also known as black birch or sweet birch. It is a unique oil with several therapeutic applications, thanks to its distinctive chemical profile, which is rich in methyl salicylate that constitutes up to 98% of the oil. Methyl salicylate is well-known for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antispasmodic, and pain-relieving properties. Aromatic use: Add three to four drops of Birch essential oil to the diffuser.
Topical Use:Apply one to two drops of Birch oil to the desired area. Dilute with a carrier oil to minimize any skin sensitivity.
