Our Story

Olivija Popović first graduated from the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, and she earned the title of Professor of Italian Language and Literature. Shortly after that she completed the specialization in simultaneous and consecutive translation and became a court interpreter. She continued her postgraduate education in Great Britain at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, where she completed MBA studies. When aromatherapy entered her life, she became a student for the third time and studied aromatherapy at the New York Institute of Aromatherapy in the United States of America.

These three seemingly incompatible directions in formal education led to the creation of the Olioils concept – a holistic approach to health, based on aromatherapy.

After completing her studies in the field of aromatherapy, she became a licensed aromatherapist in the USA and member of the NAHA (National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy). Her knowledge in the aromatherapy field is profound and fundamental, while her long-term practice in working with clients has brought her valuable and rich experience.

Thanks to the skill of imparting knowledge that she acquired as a professor, she has designed a series of lectures in aromatherapy field, available to all those who want to learn more about how and for what purpose essential oils are used. Since in our region the use of aromatherapy is relatively undeveloped, the education is of crucial importance for its development and promotion, and it is therefore a very important part of the Olioils concept.

MBA studies certainly played an important role in the creation of Olioils, because the whole concept could not exist without essential oils. Entrepreneurial skills and business knowledge have made the highest quality essential oils available to her clients around the world. She is working intensively to ensure that the company dōTERRA, a producer of 100% natural pure therapeutic essential oils, which for many reasons are considered the best on the world market, opens a representative office in Serbia.

Olivija is a mother of three children and a wife. She spent a large part of her life in Verona, Prague and Shanghai, but she currently lives and works between Basel and Belgrade.
