Historically used by Native Americans to Chamomile Blue (or German Chamomile) in its plant renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties. This type of Chamomile takes its name from the deep blue oil released on the distillation of the plant’s flower heads. Chamomile Blue is non-irritating and non-sensitising, making it ideal in preparations to soothe skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. It can also assist as an anti-inflammatory for treating stiff or painful muscles and joints after exercise or muscular trauma. Emotionally Chamomile Blue is used to ease stress and to calm extreme nervous tension. Used in a diffuser, bath blend or massage treatment it can help to dispel some of the physical tension caused by stress and anxiety.
Ho Wood Essential Oil (Cinnamomum Camphora Linaloolifera), is steam distilled from the bark and wood of the same tree that brings us Ravinsara essential oil, distilled from the leaves. Ho Wood is one of the most potent sources of naturally occurring linalol found in any steam distilled essential oil. Emotionally, given its linalol content, Ho Wood Oil is a “peaceful” oil. It is calming and is a good choice when needing to relax or unwind.
