dōTERRA Neroli Touch combines pure Neroli essential oil with Fractionated Coconut Oil in a convenient roll-on applicator bottle. Derived from the flower of the bitter orange tree, Neroli has a sweet, fresh, floral aroma. Interestingly, two other citrus oils also come from the same tree – Petitgrain from the leaves and twigs, and Bitter Orange from the peels of the orange. Though other oils come from the same source, Neroli remains rare among citrus oils. Neroli Touch can be used to soothe skin and reduce the appearance of blemishes. Neroli is also known to encourage relaxation and uplift mood.

Why Egypt?

The bitter orange tree is native to East Asia. However, it has been growing in Egypt since it was introduced there by the Arabs in 642 AD. While many orange trees across the world have been altered by mix breeding, the Egyptian Neroli remains virtually untouched.

How Does It Work?

Egypt

Neroli comes from the bitter orange tree. Three essential oils are derived from the bitter orange tree: Petitgrain is distilled from the leaves and twigs of the tree, Neroli essential oil is distilled from the blossoms, and Bitter Orange oil is produced by cold pressing the rinds of the fruits. The same tree cannot be used for all three oils, however, due to timing. This is one reason why we source our Petitgrain essential oil from Paraguay and our Neroli essential oil from Egypt.
